The Tucson Saguaros are seeking a motivated, dependable, and enthusiastic individual to serve as the team’s Play-by-Play Streaming Broadcaster and Assistant General Manager for the 2027 Pecos League season.

The position combines live professional baseball broadcasting with hands-on experience in the daily operations of an independent professional baseball team.

The Tucson Saguaros will play 19 home games at Kino Stadium in Tucson, Arizona, during the 2027 season.

This opportunity is ideal for an aspiring sports broadcaster or sports management professional who wants to gain valuable experience producing live baseball broadcasts while working directly with a professional baseball organization.

Broadcasting Responsibilities:

The broadcaster will be responsible for managing all aspects of the team’s live streaming broadcasts, including:

Providing live play-by-play commentary for Tucson Saguaros home games.
Operating the team’s live streaming broadcasts through Vimeo OTT.
Managing OBS Studio broadcasting software and the live production workflow.
Operating a two-camera broadcasting system, including camera switching and coordination.
Integrating Presto Sports graphics, scoreboard overlays, and game statistics into the broadcast.
Starting each live broadcast at least 10 minutes before the scheduled first pitch.
Coordinating pregame introductions, live game coverage, and postgame wrap-ups.
Monitoring audio, video, internet connectivity, and overall stream quality.
Troubleshooting technical issues during broadcasts.
Working with the Pecos League Broadcast Office to maintain professional broadcasting standards.

The broadcaster will be responsible for running the complete live streaming production, not simply providing play-by-play commentary.

Assistant General Manager Responsibilities:

In addition to broadcasting duties, the selected individual will assist the Tucson Saguaros General Manager with game-day operations.

Responsibilities include:

Assisting the General Manager with game-day preparation and stadium setup.
Helping coordinate game-day schedules and operational activities.
Working with the Field Manager to communicate roster updates and player information.
Assisting with player information, lineup documentation, and roster coordination.
Supporting communication between team management, the Field Manager, and the Pecos League office.
Helping ensure home games operate smoothly and professionally.

The Assistant General Manager role is focused on baseball operations support and game-day coordination.

Position Limitations:
This position does not include concessions responsibilities or authority over baseball personnel decisions, player signings, or releases.

Qualifications:

Ideal candidates should have:

Strong knowledge of baseball rules, terminology, and game strategy.
Excellent verbal communication and play-by-play announcing skills.
Experience with OBS Studio, live streaming, or sports video production.
Familiarity with camera switching, broadcast audio, and scoreboard graphics.
Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
The ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities during live games.
An interest in professional baseball, sports broadcasting, or sports management.
Availability for the Tucson Saguaros’ 2027 home schedule.

Previous baseball broadcasting experience is preferred, but candidates with relevant college broadcasting or live streaming experience are encouraged to apply.
