The Martinsville Mustangs are seeking an enthusiastic, talented, and professional Play-by-Play Broadcaster to join our broadcast team for the upcoming season.

This is an exciting opportunity for an aspiring broadcaster to gain valuable professional baseball experience while serving as the voice of the Martinsville Mustangs and helping bring the excitement of Mustangs baseball to fans throughout the community and beyond.

Responsibilities

Provide live, engaging, and accurate play-by-play broadcasts for Martinsville Mustangs home and road games.
Prepare thoroughly for each broadcast by researching players, teams, storylines, statistics, and game notes.
Conduct player, coach, and staff interviews as needed.
Collaborate with the front office and media team to produce compelling broadcast and digital content.
Assist with game-day media responsibilities, including social media, video, and promotional content when needed.
Represent the Martinsville Mustangs professionally in the ballpark and throughout the community.
Maintain a consistent and entertaining broadcast style that connects with both longtime baseball fans and new audiences.

Qualifications

Strong knowledge of baseball and a passion for the game.
Excellent verbal communication and storytelling skills.
Previous play-by-play, broadcasting, journalism, communications, or related experience preferred.
Experience with radio, streaming, podcasting, television, or college/high school sports broadcasting is a plus.
Ability to work independently while also being an effective member of a team.
Strong preparation, organization, and time-management skills.
Professional attitude and willingness to contribute to the overall game-day experience.
Current college students, recent graduates, and emerging broadcasters are encouraged to apply.
