Fraser Valley Thunderbirds Hockey Program is looking for a motivated Public Address Announcer/Game Night DJ for the 2026-27 regular season and playoffs.
This role handles game-night announcements over the PA system and manages in-game music to enhance the fan experience.
Key duties
– Announce player introductions, scoring plays, penalties, sponsorship messages, and other game-related information over the PA.
– Select and play music during the game, adapting content to the moment.
– Arrive at least 60 minutes before game time and commit to 2.5–3 hours per home game.
– Work the home games for U15/U17/U18 teams (Regular season), including most Saturdays and Sundays, with occasional holiday games.
– Use your own music and a laptop/tablet/iPad (with headphone jack). A soundboard, microphone, and cables are provided.
Qualifications
– Ability to cover all Fraser Valley Thunderbirds home games for the relevant age groups.
– Initiative, good judgment, and strong interpersonal/communication skills.
– DJ experience is an asset; knowledge of hockey is helpful.
– Clear English speech; comfortable speaking to a diverse audience.
– Ability to stand for long periods and work in a team environment.
