Public Address Announcer ( Soccer / Football )

An exciting volunteer opportunity has arisen within the Media & Communications Team at Hornchurch Football Club.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and confident PA Announcer to become the voice of the club on matchdays.

The successful candidate will play a key role in creating an engaging atmosphere for supporters while ensuring important information is communicated clearly, accurately and professionally throughout each fixture.

Key Responsibilities
– Announce team line-ups, substitutions, goalscorers and other significant match events.
– Provide half-time and full-time updates, including scores from other fixtures where required.
– Deliver sponsor messages, club announcements and supporter information as directed.
– Make clear and timely safety or emergency announcements when necessary.
– Work closely with the matchday operations team to ensure all announcements are accurate and well-timed.

Essential Requirements
– The ability to remain composed and professional when speaking live to a crowd.
– Reliable, punctual and committed to attending home fixtures on Saturday afternoons and Tuesday evenings
– Strong, confident communication and teamwork skills.

Desirable Skills and Experience
– A good knowledge of football and the matchday environment.
– Previous experience in public speaking, commentary, broadcasting or using PA systems.
– The ability to engage supporters with enthusiasm, energy and a positive presence.
