The Carolina Stars are a women’s professional football team based in Charlotte, North Carolina, dedicated to delivering high-energy, competitive football and an unforgettable fan experience. We are seeking a dynamic, professional Public Address Announcer to serve as the voice of the Carolina Stars for the upcoming season.

This is a unique opportunity to become the signature voice of a growing professional sports organization and help shape the in-stadium experience for players, fans, and partners.

Position Overview

The Carolina Stars are seeking an energetic, professional, and reliable Public Address Announcer responsible for delivering clear, engaging, and accurate announcements during all home games.

The selected candidate must be available for all three (3) home games during the season and playoff games, if applicable.

Responsibilities

Game Day Responsibilities

• Serve as the official Public Address voice of the Carolina Stars
• Deliver starting lineups, player introductions, and in-game announcements
• Announce scoring plays, penalties, timeouts, substitutions, and game updates
• Maintain professionalism and neutrality while supporting a high-energy atmosphere
• Execute sponsor reads and promotional announcements as directed
• Work closely with game operations, production, and scoreboard staff
• Coordinate timing with music, video board, and in-game entertainment elements
• Provide emergency or safety announcements when necessary

Pre-Game Responsibilities

• Attend game day production meetings
• Review pronunciation guide and game scripts
• Coordinate with game operations staff on timing and execution
• Arrive early for sound check and microphone testing

Post-Game Responsibilities

• Deliver closing announcements
• Assist with any post-game recognition or promotions
• Provide feedback to game operations staff when requested

Requirements

• Strong, clear, and professional speaking voice
• Ability to deliver announcements with confidence and energy
• Experience in sports announcing preferred (football experience a plus)
• Ability to follow scripts while adapting to live game situations
• Strong professionalism and reliability

Must be available for:

• All three (3) home games
• Playoff games (if the team qualifies)
• Ability to work evenings and weekends

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous Public Address announcing experience
• Experience in football, collegiate, or professional sports environments
• Ability to energize crowds while maintaining professionalism
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Commitment

• 3 Regular Season Home Games (4/11, 4/25, 5/16)
• Playoff Game(s) — If Applicable (6/13, 6/27, 7/11)
• Game Day Arrival: Approximately 2 hours prior to kickoff (4PM)

Compensation

Compensation: Paid position (rate commensurate with experience)
