Welcome to True Talent Events ! We are a traveling event company hosting Regional and National Dance Competitions throughout the East Coast looking to find the next voice of our events ! The MC is responsible for introducing all routines, making all announcements during the competition, accurately playing the music for the performers and keeping a fun, upbeat, engaging and entertaining vibe throughout the weekend. The MC works closely with the On Site Director to help facilitate award ceremonies to ensure a smooth show.
Responsibilities:
– Serve as the primary announcer and MC for live dance competition events
– Engage and entertain the audience with a dynamic and upbeat presence
– Prepare and deliver scripted announcements, introductions, and event summaries
– Maintain a professional and polished appearance while on stage or in front of the camera
– Collaborate with event production team to ensure audiovisual equipment is properly set up and functioning
-Keep smooth communication with all teams members, especially backstage managers, tabulators and show directors to pivot when needed throughout the event.
Skills:
-Ability to read scripting and announce routines with an upbeat, engaging and fun tone
– Works well under pressure
– Strong public speaking skills with the ability to captivate an audience
-Ability to keep audience engaged and enthusiastic throughout the long hours of showtimes
– Quick thinking and improvisation skills to handle unexpected situations during live events
– Works well in a team environment, providing a fun, entertaining and welcoming vibe from the MC table

Pay Rate :
Job Types: Temporary, Freelance
Pay: $180.00 – $200.00 per day
Schedule:
- 12 hour shift
- Weekends only
