Job Description:
As a Game Announcer for the Detroit Mechanix, you will be the voice of our team during home games, providing live commentary, player introductions, and in-game announcements. You will work closely with our marketing and events teams to create an energetic and entertaining atmosphere for fans at the stadium and those tuning in remotely. Your passion for sports and ability to captivate audiences will enhance the overall game-day experience for spectators.

Responsibilities:
- Provide live commentary during Detroit Mechanix home games, including play-by-play analysis, player introductions, and game updates.
- Engage with fans and create excitement through dynamic and energetic announcing.
- Work closely with the marketing team to promote upcoming games and special events through announcements and promotions during broadcasts.
- Collaborate with production staff to ensure seamless integration of announcements, music, and other elements during game broadcasts.
- Maintain a professional and positive demeanor while representing the Detroit Mechanix brand at all times.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a sports announcer or commentator preferred.
- Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to think quickly and articulate thoughts clearly during live broadcasts.
- Passion for sports, particularly ultimate frisbee, and a deep understanding of game rules and strategies.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing game situations.
- Enthusiastic and engaging personality with a natural ability to connect with audiences.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends during the UFA season.
- Must be comfortable speaking in front of large crowds and interacting with fans.
