Club Overview:
FC Tucson was founded in 2010 by a local group of dedicated Tucsonans who wanted to elevate the sport and bring high-quality soccer to Southern Arizona. Returning fully to pre-professional status in 2024, FC Tucson is continuing to build toward a brighter future under new ownership in Tucson, Arizona.
Position Overview:
FC Tucson is looking to hire a play-by play-announcer for streaming and over the air for our 2024 USL League Two and WPSL seasons. This position would bring life to the FC Tucson stream partnering with a color commentator. This role will be based at Kino Sports Complex in Tucson, Arizona.
Role & Responsibilities:
•       Provide play-by-play commentary for FC Tucson’s 7 USL League Two home games and potential home playoff games.
•       Provide play-by-play commentary for FC Tucson’s 5 WPSL home games and potential home playoff games.
•       Attend 1-2 FC Tucson team practices a week during the Term and any playoff period(s) to build a knowledge base of the team culture, players, and staff.
•       Coordinate with our in-house sponsorship and marketing departments for in-game reads, social media interactions, and other on-air elements.
•       Set up and conduct routine prep calls with FC Tucson, opposition, and affiliated college coaching staffs.
•       Coordinate with the streaming provider to ensure all setups and layouts meet minimum company standards and venue mandates.
•       Take direction and execute instructions in an energetic and positive manner.
•       Engage with fans in a professional and respectful manner within your role.
•       Be proactive in identifying areas in need of attention.
•       Be diligent in communicating needs, questions, and concerns.
•       Be on time and presentable at all FC Tucson events.
Preferred Qualifications 
•       Strong knowledge of men’s and women’s soccer.
•       Prior experience broadcasting soccer games a plus.
•       Must be at least 18 years old and qualified to work in the US.
•       Must be willing to work non-traditional hours including weeknights and weekends and under various weather conditions.
•       Must have a strong work ethic.
•       Must be able to operate with various tools safely and properly.
•       Must be detail-oriented and be able to follow instructions.
•       Must be able to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
•       Must be able to meet deadlines and solve problems under pressure.
•       Must exhibit and maintain a positive attitude.
•       Must be able to verbally communicate strongly and effectively.
•       Must have a viable method of transportation, laptop, and a cellphone.
•       Must have the ability to stand on feet for extended periods of time.
•       Plus: Previous work in sports-related events
•       Plus: Bilingual in Spanish
Compensation & Employment Terms
•       Employment Term: May 2024-July 2024
•       Employee Status: Seasonal and Non-Exempt
•       Compensation: Up to $200 per game
•       Background Check: Hire will be required to submit to a background check.
•       This position will be primarily working out of the FC Tucson Corporate Office and training facilities.
•       This position must adhere to the policies and procedures outlined in the company’s policy manuals.
The USL League Two Season would start on May 1st and end as late as August 3rd including playoffs. The WPSL Season would start on May 15th and end as late as July 14th.

Candidate would be working with our streaming partner, Tourbeau Sports Group.
