The Lone Star Lights Event Staff should be a follower of Jesus, who is in accordance with Carolina Creek Christian Camps’ mission statement and statement of beliefs. He/she must be of strong moral character and integrity. Must be able to fulfill all job responsibilities and physical demands with or without reasonable accommodations.

Lone Star Lights is an amazing family-friendly, walk-through Christmas light experience with live entertainment, fun activities for all ages, local vendors, and of course, lights! We are looking for friendly, reliable people to join our team. Our Character Voice plays the role of “Rolly the Reindeer” and will engage and entertain guests of all ages as they pass by his stable on their way to see Santa. This position works closely with the Stable Host who provides crowd control and helps Rolly understand any soft-spoken questions.
Key Job Accountabilities
Engage guests of all ages in witty conversations as “Rolly the Reindeer”
Maintain a polite and warm attitude
Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Attend all required staff meetings and events
Adherence to company dress code and professional standards for personal grooming and appearance.
Satisfactory completion of background investigation, as well as ability to provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
Pay is $75 per night with housing and meals provided
Setup Days: November 8-22 (Monday – Saturday generally from 9am – 6pm)
Event: November 24 – December 22 (Thursday – Sunday generally from 4pm – 11pm)
Strike (Reset): December 27 – January 17 (Monday – Saturday generally from 9am – 6pm)
Commitments can be made for the entire season (setup, event, and strike) or certain weeks.
18 years of age or older
Must have a current valid driver’s license.
Must have a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Prior performing roles or voice acting preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Comfortable initiating and carrying on a conversation with people of all ages
Must have an exciting and dynamic voice that can convey excitement and joy
Able to think on your feet
Clear articulation and pronunciation
Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills
Team player but able to work independently and with minimal supervision
Flexible with an ability to adjust and problem solve in challenging situations
Able to follow instructions well and ask for clarification if needed
Willing to serve in various roles as assigned
Willing to work in all types of weather conditions
The physical environment requires the employee to work both inside and outside in all types of weather (hot and humid conditions or extremely cold). Requires sitting, standing, squatting, stooping, twisting, walking and ability to lift/carry anywhere from 15 to over 60 lbs possibly for long periods of time without breaks.
