Duties and Responsibilities:
The Athletics Department is accepting applications for a Part-Time Public Address Announcer for Volleyball and Basketball. Come be a part of the AUM Warhawks game management team and enhance the experience of the game day atmosphere at AUM Athletics events. The qualified candidate selected for this position will assist in the following capacities:
  • Will serve as public address announcer for all preseason, regular season and postseason volleyball, men’s basketball and women’s basketball home contests.
  • Accurate pronounce players and coaches from each team for the contest
  • Remain positive in announcing and be respectful of each team
  • Must be reliable and available to work nights and weekends
  • This position will arrive to the venue 30 minutes to an hour prior to the scheduled contest to ensure all pronunciations are accurate and rehearsed, and will remain until event has concluded.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of applicable University, NCAA and Gulf South Conference rules, practices and procedures
  • Positive attitude and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to work with individuals from various backgrounds
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
    • High School Diploma
    • Available on nights and weekends
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • One (1) year experience as public address announcer at NCAANAIANJCAAAHSAA or AISA institution
