Public Address Announcer & In-Game Host ( Division I Basketball )

WKU Athletics is holding auditions for a contracted public address announcer and in-game host for basketball. These positions serves as the in-arena voice of the Hilltoppers for all home basketball games (PA is Men’s Basketball ONLY).  They do pregame, in-game, and post-game announcements, as well as introduce the starting lineups and call game action. The PA Announcer and In-game Host present a distinctive voice and personality and helps create an electrifying atmosphere at Diddle Arena.

PA ANNOUNCER QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong verbal communication and public speaking skills required.
• Able to work flexible hours including all Hilltopper home games, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Knowledge and passion for Hilltopper Athletics, as well as familiarity with the Hilltopper market and region.
• Must know the rules of basketball.
• Able to annunciate clearly, accurately, and project to a large crowd.
• Strong, distinct voice is required.

IN-GAME HOST QUALIFICATIONS

• Round 2 selections will be made by Monday, April 17, 2023. Those selected for Round 2 will be sent details for the in-person round on Thursday, April 27, 2023.
