Public Address Announcer ( Independent Professional Baseball )
The Gary SouthShore RailCats are seeking an upbeat, professional, and articulate public address announcer for the 2023 season. The position will add to the overall fan experience by serving as the in-stadium voice for Gary SouthShore RailCats home games.
THIS IS A PART-TIME SEASONAL POSITION
Responsibilities Include:
- Act as public address announcer with the ability to project and enunciate clearly over the microphone in front of a large crowd
- Announce most in-game action including but not limited to: lineups, pre-game activities, and in-game promotions
- Hit all sponsorship reads in script
- Display a positive attitude and professional demeanor while representing the RailCats
- Work closely with the RailCats in-game emcee
- Be available for all RailCats home games with the potential for post-season games
Qualifications:
- Previous public address or vocal broadcasting experience
- General knowledge and understanding of baseball including rules, positions, and terminology
- Must be able to take direction and adjust quickly in fast-paced situations
- Ability to work well with others
