The Holly Springs Salamanders are seeking a skilled individual to serve as the announcer for sponsored promotions, player introductions (home and visiting), and the official script during all Holly Springs Salamanders home games and select special events. This role requires the ability to follow direction and adapt quickly to last-minute changes typical of live events.
Candidates must have a clear, professional speaking voice and be available to work all 32 Holly Springs Salamanders home games.
Previous experience as a PA Announcer or host is required.

- Game Announcements:
- Introduce players, coaches, umpires, and special guests.
- Provide real-time updates on game action, such as at-bats, pitching changes, and scoring plays.
- Deliver pregame and postgame announcements, including lineups, ceremonial events, and sponsor acknowledgments.
- Fan Engagement:
- Energize and entertain fans with lively and professional commentary.
- Announce between-inning promotions, contests, and special activities.
- Compliance:
- Ensure all announcements comply with league and team policies, including promotional and sponsor messaging.
- Follow scripts for scheduled activities while remaining flexible for unscripted situations.
- Game Operations:
- Collaborate with the game-day staff, including the scoreboard operator, music director, and on-field hosts, to maintain smooth transitions and synchronization.
- Adjust tone and pace of announcements to align with the game atmosphere.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Voice and Delivery:
- Strong, clear, and professional speaking voice with excellent diction.
- Ability to project enthusiasm, energy, and confidence in a high-energy environment.
- Comfortable speaking to large crowds with poise and charisma.
- Baseball Knowledge:
- Thorough understanding of baseball rules, terminology, and game flow.
- Ability to anticipate and communicate game-related information accurately and promptly.
- Technical Skills:
- Familiarity with PA systems and microphones.
- Ability to quickly adapt to and follow scripts, schedules, or live game developments.
- Professionalism:
- Ability to remain composed and professional under pressure.
- Comfortable taking direction and adjusting to changing circumstances during games.
- Availability:
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required during the baseball season.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience as a public address announcer, broadcaster, or emcee in a sports or entertainment setting.
- A background in radio, communications, or voice work.
- Familiarity with Minor League Baseball operations or similar live event settings
